High School Reunion

The time has come. I open my email and look to see the dreaded words..."OHS REUNION". Sent to me by some still overly peppy classmate who seems to think this is going to be the greatest event of her lifetime.

I have to admit there was a glimmer of excitement in me. It passed quickly...but it was there. It happened before I realized that this body had twins.

As my thoughts began to wander I started thinking of plastic surgery. A little lift here, a little "puff" up there. "Why did I tan so much in my teens?"

After spending about $100,000 in my mind on my imaginary plastic surgeries I realized I may come out looking like this....

And I thought better of it.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not against a good nip and tuck...or even an implant here and there. But for this reunion I am going just as me. And you know what? Maybe that's not so bad.

  2. Ewwwwwwww...glad you thought better of it. I've seen one of those horrible photos of that woman, now I've seen 6...I'm gonna have nightmares now!

...I came upon you by way of clicking "Etsy" as interest. I would love it if you would come to my blog and "dish" about what you're hearing and how you make yourself heard, in my topic "making waves." http://dish-dish-dish.blogspot.com/2009/06/making-waves.html

    Have a lovely day,
    Kara

  7. Rest assured, you will arrive at your reunion to see the classmates in the same shape...all except a few.

  8. Oh wow that pic is scaaaary. I'm only 5 yrs out of high school so I have the luxury of imagining my reunion will be all "Romy and Michelle". Probably not but I can dream!
You just need to hire some really expensive jewelry and out bling everyone else there! No one cares what you look like if you're rich, I think the scary lady pic proves that!
